The MC of Overlord is portrayed as an OP idiot with minions 100% loyal to him. The MC of DD is portrayed as weakling genius and everyone working for him would betray him if a better offer came along. Another difference is that Overlord is decently written. DD is shit.
Both the manga and Light Novel tell the same story, unlike the Web Novel ( Which is vastly different ), but the manga like the TV show leaves out details.
